The Rzeczpospolita daily reports that experts from the Central Forensic Laboratory and the Central Bureau of Investigation returned from Moscow two weeks ago after they found samples of explosive on parts of the fuselage and inside the aircraft.
The report was sent to Attorney General Andrzej Seremet and chief military prosecutor, Colonel Jerzy Artymiak, the newspaper reports, adding that Prime Minister Donald Tusk was informed.
The report will fuel suspicion by some in Poland, particularly from the opposition Law and Justice (PiS) party, led by Jaroslaw Kaczynski – whose twin brother Lech Kaczynski was one of 96 who died on 10 April 2010 – that foul play was involved in the plane disaster.
Poland's chief military prosecutor will be giving a press conference on the revelations at noon, Tuesday, local time. (pg)
