Pole victim of British female serial killer

A 30 year-old woman stunned her defence lawyers when she pleaded guilty to the murder of a Pole, Lukasz Slaboszewski, and two other men in Cambridgeshire, England, in March this year.

Joanna Dennehy pleaded guilty in the Old Bailey court in London on Monday morning to stabbing to death 31 year-old Polish migrant Lukasz Slaboszewski as well as property developer Kevin Lee, 48, and John Chapman, 56, who shared a rented house with the Pole.
Slaboszewski was killed on 19 March while Lee and Chapman were murdered on 29 March.
Dennehy's defence barrister Nigel Lickley QC said after the guilty plea: "The course is not one I had anticipated. We ask for more time to be given after what has just occurred."
The woman also pleaded guilty to three counts of preventing the lawful burial of all three murder victims and the attempted murders of two other men, John Rogers and Robin Bereza.
She said following her admission of guilt: "I have pleaded guilty and have nothing more to say."
Słaboszewski was originally from Nowa Sol in the Lubusz province in western Poland before moving to the UK to work in a DHL warehouse in Peterborough.
The motive for the murders has yet to be revealed. (pg)
