11 Poles injured in coach crash near Berlin

Eleven Poles are recovering in a German hospital following a coach crash on a German motorway in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The coach was travelling towards Poland along the A10 motorway when at about 04:50 it overturned and rolled onto its side for still undetermined reasons.
Twenty-two of the 66 passengers were given medical help, of whom eleven were taken to a nearby hospital. One of them is severely injured though it has been reported that there is no threat to their life.
The company Sindbad, which organized the journey, has arranged for a replacement coach to carry passengers still fit to travel back to Poland. The passengers will return as soon as they get permission from the medical services.
Sindbad has informed that it is in contact with the German police and also the consul General of Poland in Germany, saying “at the moment we are concentrating on finding detailed information concerning the health of all passengers, determining their whereabouts, as well as informing the families of the affected.”
Earlier this year a Polish coach crashed near Dresden which eventually claimed the lives of eleven people. (sl)
