A spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior Affairs has said that the precise date cannot be disclosed for security reasons.

The evacuees will be flown to the town of Malbork in northern Poland, where a provisional air border crossing point will be set up to ensure smooth border control procedures.

The Minister of Interior Affairs informed earlier in the week that during the first three months the arrivals from Ukraine will take part in language and adaptation courses and their children will be covered by compulsory schooling.

In the second three-month stage the evacuees will be able to benefit from professional courses, with a view to be relocated to their permanent places of residence which will be prepared by the local authorities.

Talks are already underway with local government bodies to help the refugees start a new life. (mk)
