The European Union’s policy on Ukraine would be incomplete without Poland’s voice, the foreign minister of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier said on Thursday.

Speaking at a joint press conference in Berlin with his Polish counterpart, Grzegorz Schetyna, Steinmeier said that, “without a Polish point of view and Polish knowledge, European policy would be incomplete.”
Poland and Germany have a shared outlook on the Ukraine crisis, Schetyna said.
Poland supports the quadrilateral negotiations on the issue between Germany, France, Russia and Ukraine, he said, adding he hoped the participants would take advantage of the experience of Poland.
Poland expects a tightening of sanctions against Russia, Schetyna also said.
While noting progress on implementation of the Minsk ceasefire, Steinmeier said it was “hard as to be satisfied with its pace”. (an)
