Russians are the least liked among the neighbour nations, though still a quarter of Poles have a favourable view of them, CBOS said in a report. Exactly half of the respondents hold an unfavourable view of Russians.

On the other hand, Czechs are liked by 50 percent of Poles and Slovaks by 48 percent.

Germans enjoy a favourable image in the eyes of 43 percent of the respondents.

These sentiments appear not unconnected to geopolitics, as 52 percent of Poles see political relations with Germany as positive.

The Russian state’s international policies drew a whopping 79 percent of negative views versus 5 percent approvals. (an)
