The agreement with Ukraine was signed by the EU in March 2014 as a gesture of support for the Ukrainian authorities at a time as the political ties between Russia and the West deteriorate.
The remaining part of the agreement, which was signed in June 2014, “involves free trade, economic cooperation, the judiciary and internal affairs,” the Presidential Chancellery said.
Last December, President Komorowski passed a bill allowing him to ratify the EU-Ukraine agreement on Poland’s behalf. (rg)
