The pollster CBOS found that 38 percent thought that the relations were neither good nor bad, and 10 percent couldn’t give an assessment.

Only 4 percent thought that the two countries’ bilateral relations were bad.

The current views are among the best results since January 1987, when the first such survey was conducted, CBOS said.

According to the CBOS survey, the most frequently mentioned momentous events, which contributed to the improvement of Polish-German relations since WWII, were the Polish accession to the European Union in 2004 (14 percent) as well as the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 (11 percent). (rg/rk)
