Polish FM meets Mogherini

Poland's Foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski has conferred in Brussels with the chief of EU diplomacy Federica Mogherini.

The discussion covered Eastern Partnership and Southern Neighbourhood projects, joint EU security and defence policy and the key challenges facing the bloc’s foreign policy.
“I am glad that one of my first meetings in Brussels was with you,” Waszczykowski told Mogherini.
Witold Waszczykowski and Federica Mogherinki stressed the need to resolve as soon as possible the migrant crisis through the strengthening of EU’s external borders and an introduction of procedures to ensure a distinction between refugees and economic migrants.
The Polish Foreign Minister expressed satisfaction with EU’s closer cooperation with Turkey aimed at halting an influx of migrants to Europe. (mk/rg/rk)
