The man, identified as Sebastian Ż., was an amateur cage fighter, who was attacked in the street on Saturday by a group of “three or four” men with balaclavas and carrying machetes, the Daily Mail reported.
“They started hitting him. Three or four of them came in a car, I think it was a Honda. They attacked him once and he survived,” one eyewitness was reported as saying.
However, the Pole was left with significant cuts to the head, shoulder and thighs, and died of his wounds.
The incident was witnessed by the victim’s girlfriend, who was standing nearby.
Greater Manchester police are investigating the incident, and has already arrested a 29-year-old man who might have information related to the incident. (rg/pk)
