‘Rebellion’ by 19 Russian soldiers in Donbas: report

Nineteen Russian soldiers stationed in the Donbas region of eastern Ukraine have “rebelled” against their commanders and asked to be sent back to Russia, Polish media have reported, citing Ukrainian intelligence.

Poland’s tvn24.pl news website said that according to Ukrainian Ministry of Defence intelligence services, 19 soldiers from the sixth mechanized regiment based in Stakhanov, in the Luhansk region, had officially asked to be returned to Russia.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian border guards have pinpointed a route by which weapons are being transported from the Rostov region in Russia to rebels, tvn24.pl added.
