A government spokesman has told the Polish Press Agency that preparations for the World Youth Days in Kraków at the end of July and the government’s pro-family policies are to be taken up during the meeting.

Pope Francis will take part in the World Youth Days, which are expected to attract up to two million pilgrims from over 150 countries.

While in Poland, between 27 and 31 of July, the pontiff is also to visit the Black Madonna shrine of Częstochowa and the former Nazi German concentration camp of Auschwitz, as well as to meet the Polish president, the state authorities and bishops. (mk/rg)
