On Wednesday morning, ABW officers entered the headquarters of the grouping, as well as the apartments of some of its activists.

Zmiana (Change) issued a statement on Facebook saying that “the ABW demanded to hand over hard drives, data storage devices and documents, among others”.

The grouping added that the ABW raid is “a form of political repression”.

According to niezalezna.pl, the raid may be linked to suspicious relations between party leader Piskorski and Moscow.

After Russia’s annexation of Crimea, Mateusz Piskorski defended the country saying that the Kremlin “does not want another conflict, but is demanding basic respect”.

As reported by niezalezna.pl, the leader of Zmiana is also a frequent guest of state-funded television network Russia Today. Mateusz Piskorski has also travelled to the occupied territory of Ukraine.
