“If we are to point the finger, we should look across the Channel and find fault with Brussels rather than London,” a member of the Polish Journalists' Association writes about the key reason behind Brexit.

“Frustration has been growing among Britons for years,” writes journalist Elżbieta Królikowska-Avis in an opinion piece on the association's website, adding that the standards of living, health service, transport, education, public safety and the state of democracy have all deteriorated over the past 25 years in Britain.

She also names the head of the European Parliament, Martin Schulz, the European Commission chief, Jean Claude Juncker, and the EC’s deputy head, Frans Timmermans, as some of the key culprits responsible for “weakening of the EU, limiting its potential and, perhaps, the downfall of the entire European project.”
