"We have an extensive package on Polish-US cooperation unfolding within the scope of energy security," Szczerski said, commenting Friday’s talks between Polish President Andrzej Duda and Barack Obama.

A large part of the meeting held between the two presidents was dedicated to the issue, Szczerski added.

The presidential aide also said that both parties voiced criticism over the planned German-Russian Nord Stream 2 pipeline, which is to circumvent Poland and the Baltic states.

Friday‘s discussion also focused on potential trade between the two countries related to Poland’s energy sources, Szczerski said. (aba/pk)
