The ministers from Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia gathered for talks in Warsaw on Monday.

“The meeting was aimed at setting the main goals for the coming year,” said an Interior Ministry official on Monday. “These include migration and border issues,” he added.

The meeting, held at Warsaw’s Belweder Palace, was attended by interior ministers Mariusz Błaszczak, of Poland, Robert Kalinak, of Slovakia, Sandor Pinter of Hungary and Czech deputy interior minister Jiri Novacek.

“The meeting opens Poland’s presidency in the Visegrad Group,” the source has said. Poland took over the rotating V4 presidency on 1 July.
