Polish FM: Asia offers potential for business

Bilateral talks with South Korean officials and the opening of a new direct route by LOT Polish airlines to Seoul are a sign of opportunities for Polish business, Polish Foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski has said.

“Polish businesspeople cannot miss the chance that’s arising for them in Asia,” Waszczykowski said during a meeting with South Korean Deputy Foreign Minister Lim Sung-Nam and Unification Minister Hong Yong-pyo in Seoul on Tuesday.
Waszczykowski said that the economic potential of South Korea is growing, and that Polish diplomacy would support Polish entrepreneurs interested in South Korean business.
“Economic turnover between Poland and the Republic of South Korea almost exceeds USD 4 billion, but I hope that it will become much higher as a result of this [new LOT] connection,” he added.
“We look forward to Korean industry becoming more engaged in Poland,” Waszczykowski added. (vz/rg)
