At 11:00 am, Polish President Andrzej Duda will welcome his Senegalese counterpart at the courtyard of the presidential palace in Warsaw.

Then the heads of state will hold a private meeting, which will be followed by a meeting of the delegations. Later on Thursday, the Senegalese president will meet Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydło.

The talks are set to focus on economic cooperation and interational issues, such as security in Africa and Poland’s efforts to become a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council in 2018-2019.

In November, Senegal, as a non-permanent member, will take over the rotating presidency of the council.

The Polish government plans to sign a number of memorandums on cooperation with Senegal in sectors such as tourism and agriculture.
