Trump grateful for Polish vote, says Polish president

US President-elect Donald Trump has thanked Polish President Andrzej Duda for the “mass support” of Poles in the US, Duda told Polish television station TVP Info on Friday.

Duda said Trump told him in a phone conversation earlier this week that most of the Poles who voted in the US election had voted for him.
During the conversation, Trump said he knows many Poles living in the US and is familiar with Polish issues, adding that Duda could be calm about Polish-US reations, the Polish president told TVP Info.
Republican candidate Donald Trump was elected on November 8 and is expected to be sworn into office on January 20. (vb/pk)
