Poland is determined to clamp down on antisemitism, Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydło said on Tuesday after talks in Jerusalem with her Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu.

Szydło was speaking during a two-day visit in Israel, where intergovernmental consultations were held.
Szydło and Netanyahu discussed using modern technologies, development, youth exchanges and social issues.
Poland’s Family, Labour and Social Policy Minister Elżbieta Rafalska, and her Israeli counterpart signed a bilateral social security agreement.
Up to now, when calculating pension and benefits rights, Poland and Israel have been taking into account only the period a person has been paying contributions in their respective country rather than in both countries.
Speaking on Tuesday, Szydło also referred to World War II, saying: “Today Poland and Israel are united by our history, common fates, which were so brutally interrupted by Nazi invaders.”
She added: “There is understanding and a full will to cooperate and clearly state who was the invader, who was the executioner and who was the victim.”
The victims of Nazi German oppression during World War II were Poles and Jews, she said. (vb/pk)
