International military exercises officially opened

International military exercises codenamed “Bison Drawsko 2017” started on Monday in north-western Poland.

The exercises were officially opened by commander of the Netherlands’ 43 Mechanized Brigade, General Brigadier Jan Swillens.
The exercises involve around 4,5000 soldiers from six NATO countries: the Netherlands, Poland, the United States, Germany, Canada and Estonia.
The training at the site in Drawsko Pomoroski will include Leopard tanks and Boxer and Rosomak armored vehicles, as well as Su-22 and F-16 aircraft, said General Commander of the Polish Armed Forces, Major Michał Romańczuk.
The “Bison Drawsko 2017” will be completed in the second half of February.
