The meeting focused on Polish-American relations, including prospects for closer cooperation between Poland and the new US administration.

The Polish Foreign Ministry said that in the opinion of the Foreign Minister the main pillar of relations between the US and Poland is cooperation in the domain of security and defence.

“Minister Waszczykowski also pointed out that political and economic dimensions are also significant,” the Foreign Ministry said.

Waszczykowski expressed hope that cooperation between Poland and the United States would continue to develop under the new US administration as it has done until now.

Ralph Reed is in Poland as part of a study visit by Christian political leaders, journalists and artists from the US, which the Polish Foreign Ministry has helped to organize.

Waszczykowski will visit the US in person early next week to take part in a meeting of The Global Coalition to Counter ISIS, a body of 68 nations committed to fighting The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. (sl/pk)
