NATO also needs to find a way to respond to new threats to international security amid the ongoing war on terror, Witold Waszczykowski added.

He was speaking in Warsaw after a meeting with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg that was also attended by the foreign ministers of Romania and Turkey.

NATO's future and preparations for the Western military alliance’s Brussels summit next year were the key topic discussed during the meeting, officials said.

The talks also focused on approaching large-scale Russian-Belarusian military drills codenamed Zapad 2017, Waszczykowski told reporters. (str)
