Money collected in the two-day Radioton charity bash in Chicago will allow Polish youngsters to receive medical treatment in the United States.
"The parents of children who come to us previously sought help in Poland and Western Europe. They did not find it," said Dorota Małachowski, president of the Dar Serca (Gift from the Heart) foundation, a non-profit that organises the fundraiser.
This year’s Radioton was the 21st such event to be held. The annual drive is supported by a private radio station which allocates air time for free to help the fundraising campaign.
