Duda “will certainly take part in the UN session since Poland is a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council,” Łapiński said.

He added that the Polish president is also expected to meet the Polish community based in the United States “so as to underscore the diaspora’s links with Poland, and to emphasise its contribution to Poland’s independence,” regained in 1918 after more than 120 years of foreign rule.

Asked whether Duda would meet his US counterpart Donald Trump, Łapiński replied it was too early to say.
