The visit will “provide an opportunity to express Poland’s recognition for Serbia’s achievements in its accession negotiations with the EU,” the foreign ministry in Warsaw said in a statement on its website.
“Poland has been consistently supporting Western Balkan countries in their efforts to join the EU, with Serbia being one of the front-runners in the accession process,” the foreign ministry added.
Czaputowicz’s trip to Belgrade was “a confirmation” of Polish-Serbian relations, which were in “very good” shape, the foreign ministry said.
