“We appreciate both leaders’ willingness to reach an agreement, and are confident that it was driven by their sense of responsibility for international security,” the foreign ministry in Warsaw said in a statement it issued after the summit.

The Polish foreign ministry said it looked forward to a “prompt conclusion” of talks on the denuclearisation of North Korea and to “the signing of a peace treaty that will provide a solid basis for building a lasting peace in the region.”

The foreign ministry in Warsaw added in its statement that it was following "developments on the Korean Peninsula with great attention because of our alliance with the United States of America, and more than sixty years of our commitment to the cause of security on the Korean Peninsula.”
