"We have demonstrated the good will of the 27 member states and worked out a compromise that will give the UK time to complete procedures," Mateusz Morawiecki said, as quoted by public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency.

Morawiecki told reporters in Brussels that a no-deal Brexit would be a bad scenario for both the UK and the EU.

EU27 leaders meeting in Brussels on Thursday agreed to delay Brexit to May 22 from March 29 if the British parliament approves the withdrawal agreement next week.

If UK lawmakers do not back the deal, Britain will have until April 12 to suggest another course of action to EU27 leaders.
