“On behalf of the government of Poland, I wish you a very happy and blessed Independence Day,” Morawiecki said in a message to the US ambassador in Warsaw, Georgette Mosbacher.

He added: “The Polish people share your joy and are celebrating with you. Happy 4th of July!”

Mosbacher on the eve of America’s Independence Day reiterated her pledge to help lift visas for Poles traveling to her country.

She declared during a media interview on Wednesday that Poles “will be visa-free” before she leaves her post as US envoy.

Speaking at an event celebrating Polish-US ties ahead of the American national holiday, Mosbacher thanked the Polish people for making her "feel so welcome here in Poland."
