Prosecutors from Poznań in the west of Poland have established that the owner of an internet shop selling chemical substances sold material to Breivik that could have been used to make explosive charges.

The Norwegian killer had been one of the customers of the shop.

Investigators are now checking if its other customers could have bought similar combinations of chemicals.

So far, 85 searches have been carried out and at least a dozen people detained around Poland.

Anders Breivik, who shot and killed 76 people in a shooting spree in July, had written in his diary of preparations for the attack that he had bought chemicals from a Polish supplier online, paying with a credit card.

The company has a page in Norwegian and sells a substance which is used to preserve elk meat. (ek/pg)
