The platinum-selling Californian combo, which has a loyal following in Poland, is in Europe to promote the band's sixth studio album The Hunting Party, which goes on general release next week.
The evening opened with a performance by Illinois pop-punk outfit Fall Out Boy, with organisers stressing this was not a warm-up slot as such, but rather that the band were special guests.
Linkin Park took to the stage at 9.40 pm, to a rapturous welcome.
About 30,000 fans sang along to tracks such as “Points of Authority” and “One Step Closer”, while also checking out material from the new album.
A series of encores brought down the house, with “Until It's Gone,” followed by “A Light That Never Comes,” “Lost in the Echo” and “Bleed It Out.” (nh)
