Polish prankster is 2014’s biggest YouTube hit

Polish prankster Sylwester Wardęga’s video of a “Mutant Giant Spider Dog” has emerged as the top trending video of the year, having received upwards of 115 million views this year.

In the video Wardęga uses a dog dressed as a giant spider to terrorise unsuspecting passers-by, filming their reactions to the prank.

YouTube publishes an annual list of the top ten trending videos on its site, based on views, comments, shares and other activity.

Meanwhile the most watched music video in 2014 was Kate Perry’s ‘Dark Horse,’ which has so far had almost 720 million views.

Wardęga has uploaded videos of other pranks which have also proved popular. One video in which he stops a Warsaw tram and tells it “you shall not pass” while dressed as Gandalf from Lord of the Rings has received almost 12 million views.
