The King’s Singers of the UK will be among artists from nearly 20 countries to perform at the Gaude Mater church music festival in Częstochowa.

The festival’s opening in Poland’s biggest pilgrimage centre in the south of the country will mark the 80th birthday of Finnish composer Arvo Part.

The festival this year is held for the 25th time.

Among the performers will be flamenco guitar master Paco Pena, countertenor Andreas Scholl, Morphing Chamber Orchestra, Grammy-winning pianist and composer Włodek Pawlik and Polish choirs- Schola Cantorum Gedanensis and Camerata Silesia. (an)
