Mafalda is a photojournalist who has worked for the L.A. Times, among other publications. ‘America’s Beauty’, will feature photos taken over her career in the United States.

Mafalda’s husband is reportedly currently developing a Bitcoin start-up aimed at large, institutional investors, hence the cross-over art-business idea.

The exhibition will take place at the MW WW Gallery in Warsaw beginning 17 June and run until 25 June. Bitcoin will be accepted for all items on view, either physical prints or super-imposed versions of Mafalda’s work.

Bitcoin is a payment system invented by Satoshi Nakamoto in 2008 and released as open-source software in 2009. It is peer-to-peer, with users able to trade directly without an intermediary. It is a decentralised digital currency and the largest of its kind in terms of total market value. (jh)
