The band, which hails from Oxford, took Kraków by storm with both tried and tested hits as well as tasters from their upcoming fourth studio album 'What went down.'

Foals were joined on Thursday by fellow Brits The Maccabees, as well as Canadian post-punk band Viet Cong.

The reborn event, formerly Coke Live Festival, has a history that stretches back to 2006.

Returning after a one-year hiatus, the three-day event will see several more stars descend on Kraków's vast Błonia common, where three marquees have been erected.

Forthcoming guests include Rasmentalism, Wild Beasts, TV on the Radio and Polish rapper O.S.T.R. (nh/rk)
