Polish archeologist bemoans destruction of Palmyra

Now intense fighting in the region has led to looting and a near-total destruction of the site. Roberto Galea spoke to Professor Michał Gawlikowski, one of the foremost archaeologists who have ever worked in the region, about what is left in Palmyra.

"It is very distressing and frustrating that things that I did for nearly forty years are now going to pieces," Prof. Gawlikowski said.
