The gig is part of the band’s “The End” tour, as the group takes its final bows in a career spanning nearly five decades.

The tour, which kicks off in January 2016, will feature three of Black Sabbath’s four formative members, frontman Ozzy Osbourne, guitarist Tony Iommi and bassist Geezer Butler.

The band from Birmingham, UK, shot to fame with their self-titled debut album in 1970, a success soon followed by “Paranoid”.

Poster boys for Satanism in their early days, the band stood out from their contemporaries, Led Zeppelin and the Who, with their heavy down-tuned riffs and bleak lyrics.

“The End” tour winds up on 12 July in Moscow. Tickets for the Kraków concert will be available for purchase starting 2 October. (aba/rg/rk)
