Poles like Czechs, Italians, dislike Arabs and Roma

According to the survey, out of 27 nations and ethnic groups, the Czechs are the most liked in Poland, with 50 percent of Poles saying they like their southern neighbours.

Italians were liked by 49 percent of Poles, followed by the Slovaks (48 percent) and Britons (47 percent).

However, 67 percent of Poles declared they feel negative towards Arabs and Roma.

Half of those surveyed said they don’t like Russians, but many Poles also said they dislike Romanians (47 percent), Turks (45 percent), Jews (37 percent), as well as Serbs (35 percent) and Vietnamese (32 percent).

A report accompanying the survey said that since January 2015, Poles have been feeling more negative to a range of nations, which was probably tied to the immigration crisis buffeting Europe and terror attacks. (tf/pk)
