Polish director Machulski filming new movie in Lublin

Polish director Juliusz Machulski is shooting a new movie entitled “Volta” in Lublin, eastern Poland.

The film is a crime comedy with a historical touch. Although the director did not want to reveal details, he said that the main protagonist, whose name is Volta, “seized an opportunity and had to face serious consequences.”
Machulski also said that the city of Lublin will not merely be in the background but one of the themes of the movie.
The cast includes some of Poland’s best actors: Olga Bołądź, Tomasz Kot, Robert Więckiewicz and Cezary Pazura.
The movie will have its premiere in 2017, when Lublin celebrates the 700th anniversary of its founding.
