The Ministry of Foreign Affairs was represented at the launch by Secretary of State Jan Dziedziczak.

The Council is composed of 16 delegates representing Polish diaspora organisations from around the world.

Senate Speaker Stanisław Karczewski outlined the tasks ahead of the Council, including defending the good name of Poland.

Karczewski thanked the Council members for their collaboration so far and recalled that the Council’s activities will be guided by the principle “nothing about the Polish diaspora without the Polish diaspora.”

The Senate Speaker expressed his gratitude to all who had contributed to putting the Senate in charge of funds for cooperation with the Polish community and Poles abroad. (rg)
