This year, there are two finishing lines – some of the participants will end the rally in Sicily, while some others across the Mediterranean sea, in Tunisia.
The event was first organized in 2007, and features cars which are past their prime, but still very much loved and cared for by their owners.
Among the vehicles at the starting line were some modern classics such as the Fiat 126, Polish made Syrenas and Warszawas, as well as the more modern Polonez. For visitors looking for cars from overseas, Trabants, made in the former East Germany, were also taking part. (rg)
