The exhibition of work by Joanna Helander includes photos from the Nobel Prize presentation ceremony in Stockholm in October 1996 as well as several portraits dating from earlier years.

Szymborska was the fourth Pole to receive the Nobel Prize for literature, after Henryk Sienkiewicz (1905), Władysław Reymont (1924) and Czeslaw Miłosz (1980).

Szymborska died in Kraków in 2012. (mk/pk)
