Many of the festival films will have their world or European premieres in Warsaw.
Among documentaries that viewers will be able to see this year is "Putin Forever?" which attempts to answer questions such as: Who is Vladimir Putin for Russians, do Russians do not want change, and how long will the Putin era last?
The Warsaw Film Festival, now in its 32nd year, runs until 16 October. It will include Polish, Israeli, Palestinian, Russian, Jordanian, Iranian, Mexican, Chinese, Lithuanian and American films.
