Besides the two Poles, Łukasz Dyrdy and Piotr Pawlak, the six-person final round will see performances by four Chinese pianists.
The Beijing competition is addressed to pianists aged 12 to 26.
The jury includes, among others, pianists familiar from the jury of the most recent edition of the Chopin Competition in Warsaw: Prof. Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń (the chairperson), Prof. Andrzej Jasiński, Piotr Paleczny and Dina Yoffe.
The competition has been organized by China's Central Conservatory of Music and the Fryderyk Chopin Institute.
The project was listed in China-Poland cultural cooperation agreements signed earlier this year.
The winners will be announced on Sunday at the Central Conservatory of Music concert hall in the Chinese capital.
