Polish university launches doctorate in beer brewing

The University of Agriculture in Kraków has launched doctoral studies in Malting and Brewing as part of the European Joint Doctorate Food Science.

The purpose of the doctorate is to educate professionals on how to develop the brewing industry. The students will conduct advanced research, and also implement innovative applications for the brewing industry in Poland and abroad.
The innovative project involves eight PhD students who will gain expertise at six European universities.
The project is coordinated by Dr. Aleksander Poreda of the University of Agriculture in Kraków. (rg)
