Dubbed the “Songwriting Camp Sopot 2016”, it is the largest event of its kind ever held in Central and Eastern Europe.

The participants work in three-strong teams, exchanging ideas and experience. It is expected that about 70 new songs will have been written by the end of the event on Friday.

The organizers of the camp include Poland’s Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the ZAiKS Authors’ and Composers’ Association, the Institute of Music and Dance as well as a host of Polish and foreign labels and music production companies. (mk/pk)
