Polish PM, FM send Christmas wishes

The Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydło has wished "happiness, faith, laughter and mutual kindness” in a Christmas address to Poles posted on the website premier.gov.pl.

"This [is an] extraordinary time when we can take stock and focus on what is most important,” she added in the video message.

Poland's Foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski also posted his Christmas well wishes.

"To all my compatriots at home and abroad, I wish a peaceful and merry Christmas spent with your families,” Waszczykowski said.

Poles start Christmas celebrations on the evening of 24 December and have two days of national holiday until 26 December. (vb)
