In a new report, the authority suggested that charter flights indicate where Poles go for vacation, while commercial flights show where they travel for work and family visits.

According to the authority’s CEO Piotr Samson, countries including Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Thailand, and Kenya are also top charter destinations for Poles and are chosen most often by those already well travelled in Europe.

Meanwhile, he added that Norway, the US, Spain, and Russia were other destinations often visited by commercial passengers from Poland.

Samson said that traffic at Polish airports continues to grow and will reach 60 million passengers each year by 2030.

Polish airports served 34 million passengers in 2016. (vb)
