Polish charities hold Easter Sunday breakfasts

As Christians around the world celebrate Easter Sunday, Polish charities are hosting breakfasts for the needy throughout the country.

The Saint Albert Aid Society in Łódź, in central Poland, prepared a feast for the city's men's homeless shelter, while the Wolne Miejsce (Available Space) foundation organised meals for the desolate in Siemianowice Śląskie and Świętochłowice, in southern Poland.
Mikołaj Rykowski, who organised breakfast in southern Poland said the event would not be possible without the volunteers who donated food and helped make the meal.
Easter Sunday is the Christian commemoration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, in Poland marked with Mass and a celebratory breakfast. (vb)
