The play entitled “The Chechen Diaries of Polina Zherebtsova” tells the tragic story of life in a city in ruins, which the museum said was Warsaw in 1944, Grozny, Chechnya in 1994 and Aleppo, Syria, today.
For ten years since she was nine years old, Zherebtsova wrote of her experiences in Grozny as it went through two wars.
The play based on her diaries will be performed at the Warsaw Rising Museum in the Polish capital from Wednesday until Saturday.
Zherebtsova is expected to attend the premiere. (vb/pk)
